Several months ago I noticed one ant crawling around the mat in the bathroom. This incident did not appear strange to me considering the change in weather and all. I quickly eliminated the single ant and went on with my day. I of course was surprised when I walked into the bathroom the next day and noticed a single ant once again on the mat in the bathroom. Once again the poor ant was eliminated and Beth's day went on as usual.

Unfortunately, everyday since that fateful first day there has continued to be a single ant wondering around on our mat even after I took a can of raid to the bathroom. Roy and I have speculated and come up with 2 very rational reasons behind this strange phenomenon.
1- All the ants that have entered our bathroom are in fact a single ant that is invincible....cannot be killed...will live forever in our bathroom...(this might be lil' bit of a stretch)
2- The ant colony is sending out scouts, "this is a dangerous mission, and its quite likely you won't be coming back" I don't know what they could possibly be scouting out, but it sounded like a good idea at the time.
So despite my efforts we seem to have a permanent resident in our bathroom. Perhaps someone wiser than me in the ways of ants can explain how to deal with the "lone ant".
